Heat Stress Index (WBGT) Calculator

WBGT Safety Assessment
Calculate Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) for heat stress assessment and workplace safety management.

What is Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT)?

Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is a composite temperature used to estimate the effect of temperature, humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation on humans. It's the most widely used index for assessing heat stress in occupational settings.

WBGT combines three temperature measurements: wet bulb temperature (humidity), black globe temperature (solar radiation), and dry bulb temperature (ambient air temperature) to provide a comprehensive heat stress assessment.

WBGT Formula

WBGT =
0.7 × Wet Bulb + 0.2 × Black Globe + 0.1 × Dry Bulb
All temperatures in °C or °F

Moderate Risk75% Work, 25% Rest
High Risk50% Work, 50% Rest
